We are transparent about how we use data to improve Sentinel. There are two distinct levels:
We analyse statistics across all accounts — things like "what percentage of financial scam detections are appealed" or "which rule categories have the highest false positive rate in coaching communities." This analysis never involves looking at actual message content. It uses only counts, rates, and categories. You can opt out by contacting us.
With your explicit opt-in, we may review actual anonymised message content to identify new threat patterns that our system is missing. Before any content is reviewed, we strip personally identifiable information. This data is never sold or shared with third parties. It is used solely to improve moderation accuracy for all customers. You can enable or disable this in your dashboard settings at any time.
We do not use your data to train third-party AI models. Content submitted to Sentinel is not shared with Anthropic for training purposes (see Anthropic's privacy policy for how the API processes data).

No security system is perfect. If you discover a security vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to security@getsentinelapp.com.
Our landing page does not use tracking cookies. The dashboard uses a session token stored in localStorage to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Our Service is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
If you use Sentinel to moderate content from your community members, you are the data controller for that content and we are the data processor. You are responsible for:
